Medicine Hat, AB, August 2019: To honor our commitment to transparency, the Medicine Hat SPCA would like to share an update to our valued stakeholders, supporters and community members on recent board and organization activities.
We have been working on several transformational change initiatives including adopting a new set of organizational values which represent our foundation and will guide SPCA’s organizational thinking and actions. To ensure the organization’s relevance and sustainability, we are creating new policies and procedures as well as updating current ones. SPCA staff have been provided with formal training opportunities, and changes to our organizational framework include the addition of a Shelter Supervisor position. Equally exciting, we have attracted the volunteer services of six (6) new Board members to assist with charting the strategic direction of the organization. We have dedicated 2019 as a year of change!
A Purr-fect time to support us:
This is kitten season, and it has been a busy one so far. We are currently at our maximum capacity; caring for over 116 cats and kittens. We need help from our community; we have an urgent need for cash donations to support our operations. Donations can be made by cash or cheque at the SPCA office.
Save the Date:
We will be hosting a special adoption event in September (?) to support adoption of our feline friends currently in our care. More details will be available shortly – watch our website and our social media!
As we continue to transform & grow, we invite community members to visit our website www.medhatspca.ca to learn more about our changes first-hand. We are committed to bringing positive change and would like to thank the Medicine Hat community for their ongoing support and trust during this period of transformation.
